I like to hula hoooop. (Who doesn’t)
I recently discovered a whole world of hula hoop trickster circus freaks who I enjoy muchly. I had no idea you could do so much with a simple circular object. Oh so much fun.

This is my little sister. Well not so little any more.
My mom really wanted me to do paintings of us to frame and hang in the house.

Process for my self portrait. Sorry bout all the weird crops haha.
Will do better next time.

Did a new self portrait. Trying not to use black in shadows because i seem to have developed a habit of it. The plan is to combine this with a bit of design and use it on my website and other self promotion platforms.

I’m posting the process as well. Its not super clear cos it was an after thought to capture my process, but Im busy painting my sister’s portrait at the moment and capturing as much as possible, and showing the whole image so you’ll be able to see that soon.

Been worknig on this for someone for a couple months now. Its probably the hardest painting i’ve ever done in my life! But i quite like the way it looks. It is a painting of a scenery in Switzerland that is really important to her. She also wanted her dog to be in the painting :)

Painting with oils for the first time in years. Decided I need to oil paint every weekend. So therapeutic.

Anyways so here’s a very un realistic child with dreadies. Awesome

I haven’t posted any of my work in a while, so here’s one i did a few months ago. I was commissioned by my lovely ex-lecturer Kate Wells. This is her grand-baby Gemma. Oh so cute.

I am starting to really like messing around with different colours in the skin. Instead of just tonal variations of one colour.
